ACLS Online

You will receive an On-Line AHA Key Invitation email from the American Heart Association which includes your ACLS course key in the first sentence of the email. Copy your course key (copy and paste is preferred, it is case sensitive and must match exactly)

  • The online key is good for 30 days. If your key is not activated by before 30 days, it will be revoked and reassigned to another participant.
  • The completion certificate is good for 60 days after the program is complete. You MUST complete your skills check before 60 days or you will be required to repeat the entire program. The second key is issued at the expense of the participant.

Activate your key using the instructions below. Please READ carefully before activating the key:

    • New User (you have never registered on the online aha network)
      • Click on the hyperlink “New User” found within the body of the AHA email
      • This will take you directly to the AHA website
      • Enter (Paste or type) the “Key Code” in the “New User” Box and hit Enter
      • You will be prompted to Register as a “New User” on the AHA website
      • Complete the registration (use an email you will not forget and create a password you can remember or write it down and keep in a safe place)
      • An ACCESS button will appear, double click on the access button and you will be able to access and complete the ACLS online course
      • Each time you access the site to work on the program, return through your email to access the online AHA site or click here https://armedcenter.myonlineaha.org
      • If at any time you need technical assistance, please contact AHA Tech Support
      • @ 888-242-8883
      • Upon successful completion of the online program, complete the program evaluation.
      • Print out the “certificate of completion” and bring it with you when you come to the skills check-off session
  • Returning User (you have previously registered on the online aha network)
    • Click on the hyperlink ”Returning User” found within the body of the AHA email
    • This will take you directly to the AHA website
    • Please “Sign In” using the “Log In” Box. You will be required to enter the entire email address (i.e. Must enter @____.com) and password
    • If you do not remember your password
      • Type in entire email address, select “forgot password”
      • Enter entire email address you want the password link mailed to
      • It will take anywhere from 2 minutes to 15 minutes to receive an email from help@onlineaha.org
      • Open this help email and Click in the link provided
      • Please follow the instructions on the website to reset the password
      • If you do not receive the reset password email, or you need assistance, please contact AHA Tech Support @ 888-242-8883
    • Click on “Activate a Key
    • Enter (Paste or type) the “Key Code” in the open box in the field
    • Click Accept and Activate
    • An ACCESS button will appear, double click on the access button and you will be able to access and complete the ACLS online course
    • Each time you access the site to work on the program, return through your email in order to access the current site
    • Upon successful completion of the online program, complete the program evaluation.
    • Print out the “certificate of completion”, and bring it with you when you come to the skills check-off session

No Pre-Registration Required for the skills check-off sessions. All Staff Education skills check-off Sessions are held on the 8th floor of the Central Building.

Approximate check off time:

  • BLS – 15 – 20 minutes
  • ACLS – 10 minutes
  • PALS – 30 -45 minutes
  • Please allow more time for multiple skills check off

Your unit may have an ACLS Instructor that offers ACLS Skills Check-Off Sessions, allowing multiple opportunities for completion of ACLS certification once you complete the online portion of the program!! Please ask around & look for information posted throughout your unit for dates, times and locations.
